FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are Express Windows easy to install? Do they come fully assembled?
Yes! All Express Windows arrive completely pre-assembled with frames, glass, handles, and hardware ready for immediate installation into your masonry opening. They are designed to be DIY-friendly for anyone comfortable with basic hand and power tools, and every order includes a helpful instruction manual.
What is the rough opening requirement for the concrete wall?
We require that rough window openings be exactly 10 mm larger than the listed dimensions of your chosen windows. For the best results, please ensure the openings are fully finished before installation to prevent any damage or staining to the windows.
Are your windows typhoon-proof and waterproof?
Yes, all of our sliding and awning windows are completely watertight and built to withstand heavy tropical rains. Our awning windows go a step further, providing both airtight and watertight seals. Please note that while our jalousie windows are highly functional, they are best installed under a roof overhang to prevent water intrusion during heavy storms.
Do they provide good sound insulation against street noise?
While our weather-stripping provides a good seal, our Express line is not specifically engineered for high sound dampening.
What materials are used for the frames and glass?
Our frames are made from solid 1 mm thick aluminum with a durable powder-coated finish (available in elegant black or classic white). As a standard, all Express Windows are securely fitted with 6 mm thick clear ordinary glass.
Will the frames rust in high-humidity or coastal areas?
No! Because our windows are constructed from aluminum with plastic and stainless-steel accessories, there are no parts susceptible to rust. The powder-coated frames provide an excellent added layer of protection against corrosion.
Do the windows come with insect screens?
We offer an optional, built-in screen mesh as a convenient add-on for all windows in our Express line. For our Sliding windows, every frame includes a dedicated track so a sliding insect screen can be easily added at any time.
How fast can I get my windows?
We keep all standard sizes in ready stock! Once your payment is confirmed, your order will be processed, packed, and ready for pick-up in just 2 to 3 days.
Do you offer delivery, or is it pick-up only?
At this time, we do not offer in-house delivery services. All Express Window products are available for convenient pick-up directly from our warehouse located in Baesa, Quezon City. Customers must arrange and shoulder the cost of their own delivery logistics.
Express Awning FAQs
Do these awning windows swing outward from the bottom using top hinges, and up to what degree do they open?
Yes! All of our Express Awning windows are designed to swing outward from the bottom using sturdy top hinges. Because they are not restricted by a limiter, they can generously open up to a full 90 degrees.
What hardware keeps the window prop open in windy conditions?
Our awning windows utilize the natural friction of the stainless steel forebar to stay propped open, rather than relying on dedicated stay hardware. While they will safely remain open during standard weather conditions, we strongly recommend closing them during strong winds.
Can these windows stay open for air ventilation during moderate rain without water dripping inside?
Yes! One of the best advantages of awning windows is that they are specially engineered to remain open during moderate rainfalls, providing excellent ventilation while keeping your interior completely dry.
What type of handle/latch is used to ensure a tight perimeter seal?
We equip all Express Awning windows with a cam handle. This securely locks the window into place and guarantees a tight perimeter seal.
Do Awning Express Windows come standard with obscure/frosted glass for bathrooms and bedrooms?
Our Express Awning windows come standard with clear ordinary glass. If you need frosted or obscure glass for privacy in bathrooms or bedrooms, this is considered a custom modification and will require a custom fee and an extended lead time.
How tight is the rubber compression seal when closed compared to sliding or jalousie windows?
Thanks to a high-quality rubber compression seal, our Express Awning windows boast both airtight and watertight performance when closed. By comparison, our Sliding windows are watertight but not airtight, and Jalousie windows provide standard weather protection but are neither fully airtight nor watertight.
How and where is an insect screen attached (since the window opens outward, does the screen attach inside)?
When you order an awning window with our add-on screen, the insect screen is conveniently built into the interior side of the window frame and swings inward for easy access to the window handle.
How far out do the 600 mm, 800 mm, and 1000 mm sash swing outward, and are they safe for high-traffic exterior walkways?
Because our Express Awning windows can open a full 90 degrees, the sashes will project outward to their full length (up to 1000 mm). For this reason, we generally do not recommend them for high-traffic exterior walkways unless they are installed high up on the wall. For eye-level placements near walkways, sliding or jalousie windows are much safer options.
How stable is the awning open position against sudden strong gusts of tropical wind?
The friction hinge keeps the window stable during gentle weather conditions. However, to protect the structural integrity of the window, we do not recommend keeping them open during sudden strong gusts of tropical wind.
